NovaCove Endpoint / Private beta

Catch what your Mac's built-in security misses.

We're opening the private beta of NovaCove Endpoint. It watches each Mac from inside — process, file, and network activity through Apple's Endpoint Security — catches attacker behaviour XProtect and Gatekeeper don't, and can stop a bad npm install before it lands. Detection content updates without an app release.

macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later · signed & notarized · about five minutes to set up

The agent

What it does

  • Watches process, file, and network activity through Apple's Endpoint Security and a network content filter — on-device.
  • Flags real attacker behaviour: untrusted execution, persistence (launch items, cron, sudoers, PAM, SSH keys, login hooks), credential-file access, code injection, and XProtect verdicts.
  • Matches threat-intel indicators and file hashes, checks reputation, and inspects npm packages in cleartext — blocking malicious installs with the package firewall.
  • Responds: kill, quarantine, deny execution, block a host, or isolate the Mac — with tamper protection on the agent itself.

The beta

What beta testers get

TST-01

The whole agent, free through the beta

Endpoint Security monitoring, the network content filter, detections, and response — no license cost while we're in beta.

TST-02

New detections first

Detection content ships over a signed feed without an app update, so you get new coverage the day it lands.

TST-03

A direct line to the team

Your findings and false positives go straight to the people building NovaCove and shape what ships.

Setup

From request to running

01

Request access

One email with your macOS version and how many Macs.

02

Get your build

We'll send a signed, notarized download and a short setup guide.

03

Approve & go

Install, approve the system extension and Full Disk Access, and it starts protecting that Mac. Fleet enrollment is optional.

What we'll ask of you

Use your Mac the way you always do. That's the test.

  • Run it through a normal week on a Mac you actually use.
  • Tell us the moment something looks wrong — a false positive, a missed detection, anything that feels off.
  • Tell us if you ever notice it in your way. It's built to stay quiet and light; we want to know if it isn't.
