NovaCove / For iPhone

Protection that stays on your phone.

NovaCove blocks trackers and threats on your iPhone, shows you which apps reach out and to whom, and keeps every bit of that history on the device. We never sit in the middle.

For iPhone on iOS 18.2 or later.

01

Filtering on your phone

Rules run on the device. Your traffic leaves from your phone, never through our servers.

02

History stays with you

Activity is stored on the iPhone. Nothing about what you browse is uploaded to NovaCove.

03

Cancel anytime

Plus is billed through the App Store; manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings.

What it does

Know what your phone is doing.

Seeing what your own phone does is free. Plus adds history and the detail behind it.

IPH-01 / Blocking

Trackers, ads, and malware stopped before they connect.

NovaCove checks every lookup your iPhone makes against curated tracker and ad lists, and resolves the rest over encrypted DNS through a threat-blocking resolver (Quad9 or Cloudflare).

IPH-02 / Inferred app traffic

See which apps reach out, and to whom.

iOS doesn't tell any app which other app made a connection, so NovaCove infers it from the domains contacted and their timing, and marks the weaker guesses. You see which apps reach for trackers, and when.

IPH-03 / Morning report

Yesterday on your iPhone, in one notification.

How much was blocked, and which apps reached for trackers the most. Plus a heads-up when a burst of connections gets blocked at once.

IPH-04 / App scorecards

A grade for what each app does.

A–F, from the ad and analytics companies an app reaches, how much of its traffic goes to them, and how busy it is at 3 a.m. The rubric is published in the app.

IPH-05 / Company view

Who follows you across apps.

Tracker domains grouped by the company behind them, so you can see when one ad or analytics company turns up in app after app.

IPH-06 / Hardening

Your iPhone's own settings, checked.

Passcode, Stolen Device Protection, automatic updates, USB accessories while locked, Advanced Data Protection, Wi-Fi and proxy checks, and more, each with what to change and why. A Bluetooth scan finds trackers nearby; automatic checks when you stop somewhere new are in development.

For teams

Protecting a team?

NovaCove applies your organization's rules to work phones, including personal ones, and staff choose what's shared. Personal phones report only rule matches, never their browsing. Teams get Plus included.

Questions

Does NovaCove see my browsing?

No. Filtering and history stay on your iPhone. Your DNS lookups go, encrypted, to the resolver you choose (Quad9 or Cloudflare). NovaCove's servers don't see them.

How does NovaCove know which app made a connection?

It infers it. iOS doesn't tell any app which other app made a connection, so NovaCove uses the domains an app is known to use and the timing of lookups. Everything per-app is labelled as inferred, and weaker guesses say “probably”.

Can I use it with another VPN?

iOS runs one VPN at a time. If you switch on another VPN app, it takes over the connection; NovaCove tells you when that happens and picks up again when it's off.

What happens if I go back to Free?

Protection keeps working. History older than 7 days is paused, not deleted: the iPhone keeps 90 days either way, and it comes back if you upgrade again.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Plus is billed through the App Store, so you change or cancel it in Settings › Apple ID › Subscriptions.
